halflings (knock-off hobbits)
half-elves, half-orcs
(folks get around)
cat people
bird people
those other bird people
lizard people
and snake people
and dragon people
and sometimes a devil
or a bugbear
or a living blob of water
to bring a splash of color
you can’t get in the real world
without a blue knee
on your throat.
