Have you been wanting to write—but struggling to make the time, create the space, or settle into the page on your own?
Is your inner critic speaking louder than your inner writing voice? Is perfectionism shut you down before you start? Is the tender ache of rejection, self-doubt, or a creative wound keeping you from returning to the page?
Maybe life has been busy, painful, distracting, or exhausting, and you’ve lost touch with the part of yourself that once felt alive on the page.
Or maybe you simply need a container, a protected hour, a thoughtful prompt, and an invitation to pause long enough for words to begin unfolding again.
If any of this resonates, I’ve got you!
Thursday, May 14th at noon PT/3 pm ET in a private Zoom room. This workshop is free for paid Substack subscribers, or guests are welcome to drop in for $5.
Word by Word is a one-hour creative writing workshop for prompted inspiration, playful exploration, and powerful discovery.1
The format is simple — yet powerfully profound.
Word by Word will offer you time to:
Explore craft through a creative writing prompt and playful experimentation.2
Write freely without planning, pressure, performance, or perfection.
Receive encouragement and grow in confidence in a supportive community.
Leave inspired, with a page of new words, glimmering ideas, and a renewed sense of creative momentum.
This is an intentional space to practice the healing art of writing and to see what words glimmer on the page when you show up willing to write—word by word.
Let’s loosen the grip of the inner critic, rediscover curiosity, and remember that writing does not have to be perfectly polished to be meaningful.
Whether you are a seasoned writer, an aspiring writer, or simply someone who feels drawn toward words again, this is a place to practice showing up to the page—one word at a time.
You don’t have to prepare anything in advance or bring any writing to the workshop. You don’t need any writing experience or background – all experience levels will enjoy the benefits of participating! All you need to bring is yourself, some paper or notebook, and maybe a favorite writing utensil.
I hope you’ll join me!
