June is almost here, and The Pen & Mend Collective has officially moved to its new home on Substack. Doors are open now!
Pen & Mend is a private membership community for those who believe writing is both healing and formative and are looking for a supportive space to tend to their writing life.
I’ve been slowly warming us up for this transition over the past couple of months, and the new space is officially ready for you!
When you join Pen & Mend at our new home on Substack, a paid subscription will give you access to:
Virtual Writing Rooms for you to show up and write,
AfterWords conversations for you to ask questions, make connections, and more,
Workshops like (Word by Word + Write Your Grief) for you to engage with your writing practices,
Occasional guest interviews + book clubs for you to find inspiration and discover new insights,
Workshop/event replays for you to (re)visit and go at your own pace,
Continued connection through chats + comment features for you to be held by a community that gets it.
So many good things are in store for P+M! I can’t wait to start hosting and connecting with you in this new space. If any of this interests you, start your Pen & Mend subscription today to join June’s events! See a snapshot of our June calendar below.
Not sure you’re ready to commit? Come hang out as a free subscriber to stay in the know about events and join when you’re ready.
The Mending (this publication here on Substack) will continue to be the home for my writing, essays, and prompts; however, this is your last reminder that paid perks are changing. To be a part of our virtual events and community, you’ll need to start a new subscription with us at Pen & Mend's new home. And as always, you’re welcome to adjust, pause, or renew your subscriptions at any time — Substack makes it pretty easy to customize your experience.
A paid subscription here to The Mending will remain $5 a month and will not only help sustain my writing, but will give you access to new monthly prompts, full access to the prompt archive, and full access to paywalled essays, chats, and comments here.
Are you interested in both essays/prompts and events/community? Subscribe to both The Mending and Pen & Mend. These sister Substacks are meant to complement each other!
I’m looking forward to connecting with you, whether as a free or paid subscriber, in either place, and to supporting you, depending on your interests and needs! Please let me know if you have any questions.
In your corner,
—Kristin
