I have seen Beauty walking through the light,

In eyes the color of the clearest blue,

Where skies at dawn surrender unto white

And trembling heavens wake themselves anew.

Her hair falls soft like late September wheat,

A honeyed hush that frames the tender day,

And in her smile,

both innocence and heat

In quiet, careful harmony hold sway.

She does not blaze like a consuming fire,

But warms the soul the way a summer breeze

Moves sunlit grass, and eases all desire

With gentler mercies drifting through the trees.

In gentle amber glen, her graces gleam,

If heaven dreamed of earth, it dreamed her dream.
