First toad in 6 years!

Small-headed Fly
This has to be one of the strangest looking flies I ve ever seen. Its eyes take up its whole head, which is super tiny in comparison to its bulbous body.
Peppered Jumping Spider
This is the first Peppered Jumping Spider I ve found. It was out on a milkweed plant in my yard.

Emerald Jumping Spider
This is the first spider of this species I ve found. According to articles on the internet, they are supposed to be especially friendly. This guy literally hopped right into my hand when we met. I named him Eduardo. Click his photo below to see his extensive photo shoot.
Grapevine Beetle

Milkweed Leaf Beetle
These are such cool beetles definitely one of my favorites. I haven t found one in nearly 7 years, so it was great to see one out in my yard.
Dimorphic Jumping Spider
A female Dimorphic Jumping Spider was out hunting under the porch light this evening. Interestingly, the information on the internet states that they are diurnal, not nocturnal. This one was active several hours into the night. I learned that I d already seen both a male and female of these, but I hadn t yet identified them. [ ]
V-marked Lady Beetle
