I’m a self-taught designer. This has its upsides: I learn at my own pace (in my case, slowly over decades and counting), I design my own curriculum, and I don’t have to do any homework or pass any tests. I have a formal design education, but I can very much relate with Matthew's feeling incompetent and love how he managed to turn a ton of research into an algorithm.

Most scrambled eggs recipes are tested only a handful of times. My dad used to make this dish multiple times a day, every day, for 60+ years. I made these once and they were better than any I've every had. Also works with a pinch vegetable broth powder. (I still aim to eat only plant-based, but make an exception for the eggs from my in-law's happy garden chickens.)
