Hi, peeps,
I wanted to take a quick moment and share that I recently signed with JMS Books to publish my novel Arkady’s Suffering. The official contract was signed on June 1st, which is a bit fitting, considering it is Pride month, and it is an LGBT YA novel.
Told from the perspective of the titular character, Arkady’s Suffering follows two teens who struggle to survive on a distant colonized world, which has been struck by a plague that kills, then violently raises the dead.
The novel is a rewrite of something I wrote during a turning point in my late teens (the original draft was last touched in 2009), and was a labor of love for me to revisit almost twenty years later. I am honored that JMS Books feels it is worthy enough to be a part of their catalog, especially since I once felt that this book might just sit on my hard drive.
I recently did a final revision, during which I corrected some inconsistencies within the text and fleshed out the world some more, before sending it back to JMS Books for the editing process.
I am super excited to move forward with this book, which should be out sometime within the next few months!
