I wanted to tell y’all about THREE new features on the website! Bookmark it!
The one, the only, PWOPR is now here for you to explore in a more interactive way than reading my tables.
This is a very straightforward tool and not quite as “freedom driven” as the next tool. The goal here was simple: I wanted to give y’all an easily accessible way to view PWOPR for any range you would reasonably want to view.
There are some R^2s to help you with your decision making and some light filter capability. Ultimately, I envision this tool as a simple resource for your more advanced receiving analysis needs. I intend on adding a few more variables like Predicted Targets Per Route Run at some point, but for now, I believe you sicko grinders will find this useful.
The feature I am MOST excited about.
Now, onto my favorite feature since the Predictive Trade Calculator. Using nflverse and ffopportunity data, I wanted to create a thorough, filterable, advanced data tool. It is fast, responsive, and pretty customizable.
There are a few things I am particularly excited about:
You can customize what columns you see! with the columns button on the right
The team’s filter looks niiiice
You can create CUSTOM FILTERS that use either raw values OR Percentiles on the variables you want to investigate. In the example below, I look at QBs with above a 90th percentile EPA per Pass that are under 25.
And now we can look into Drake Maye! The one QB who fits those requirements
These filters work for QB, RB, WR, and TE
It also works for Offensive Team level data! (Filters applied below are 90th Percentile EPA per Pass and above 70th Percentile Pass Attempts Per Game)
There are some column presets for you to explore that select columns for you or you can simply select your own columns to explore.
In the bottom right of any page on the website, you will see this little button
Clicking it will open up a feedback / bug reporting prompt
This is where you can show off any issues you find or let me know about a feature you want to see in the site. No promises, but I will definitely consider anything sent to me.
