Dear Reader,

San Diego Comic Con 2026 is upon us, my lounge room is full of new art, pins, postcards and a whole heaps of feelings that need to be packed into boxes and loaded in the car in the new few hours.

I’ve written to you in previous years and spoken of the invisible pressure and status that is in the air at this show. Did you get an artist alley table? How many parties are you on the list for? Do you have show exclusives? signings? meetings? dinner invites? The ways to feel inadequate are endless! I worry every year that what I’ve achieved isn’t enough to earn me a seat at the metaphorical table— I’m nervous to speak up at events, I’m forever surrounded by people who’s careers are much much bigger than mine, always hoping that I don’t look like an unqualified fool (in 2026? Wild I know, but I like to try and maintain some dignity for the rest of society).

Big shows like SDCC and NYCC have a way of making you feel both on top of the world and so small all at the same time. This year I’m choosing to focus on some community goals. I’m looking to find more of my people, connect with new customers and hopefully find some creative directors and editors who vibe with my creative vision. So if you know anyone who fits that description please send them my way (artist alley DD-04). I’m always thankful to get to be apart of the weekend, I’ve met some of the most wonderful people in previous years and I hope this year is no different.

Part of my huge to do list today was write this telegram, so I'm ticking that off the list and going back to packing! Keep scrolling for more SDCC details including art drops, exclusives and panels… and for new about my big purple horse!

I know this was supposed to be a SDCC telegram but I’m too excited about this to not share. I’ve been counting down to the release of The Odyssey, selfishly because I was waiting for the Trojan Horse to detour through Roku City!

I was able to take this project from pitch to final, as well as assist with the assets for animation. It’s the most detailed render I’ve done so far and one I’m incredibly proud of.

A big shout out the Roku animation team for making this look so darn good!

I’ll be in artist alley for the duration of the show (minus the panel below), come find me at table DD-04 same place as last year— we are at the top of artist alley near the Funko booth, the easiest entrance is door G.

I’m fully re-stocked stocked on all my open edition 8x10 and 8x8 prints as well as postcards (LA, NYC, Seattle and Chicago) and accessories including the Blues Clues and Odette pins. For those of you who can’t make the show I will be opening my online store in August so you don’t miss out.

Noticing that creative industries aren’t what they used to be? Traditional paths to success are disappearing and creators are being forced off course— adaptability and craft are paving the way to a new era!

Come chat with myself Adam McArthur, Kyle Higgins and Cherish Chen about how we are staying in the game in 2026! We will be digging into the value of in-person connections, finding your collaborators, fully leveraging your concepts, forging non traditional paths and harnessing social media and community to shape what comes next!

Find us in panel room 24 ABC at 5:30pm this Thursday at SDCC!

That’s all from me today, I hope to see some of you at the show!
