Designing a cloud storage service from scratch
In the last number of years, the cost of HDDs and storage has dropped significantly. While cloud storage services like Google Drive or Dropbox have evolved past generic cloud storage, I wanted to answer the question: How do bigger players do it and what challenges do they face? I figured the best way to answer these would be to design and implement it myself, so I went ahead and did so.
