Welcome (back) to The Bookhive!
While The Bookhive page has been around since 2017, I’ve been plotting a bit of a comeback. Is this the best time to do so with social media slowly imploding? Probably not! But let’s find out together. I’m going to add more blog posts on Substack and share them on Instagram well. Going forward, there are three main things I want The Bookhive to BEE about. See what I did there? Puns are the fourth main thing.
Books. Obviously. I’ll be posting about books I’m reading, books I’m not reading but wish that I was, the never-ending TBR, and book recs and lists for all ages. From picture books to nonfiction to general whatever, you’ll find it here.
Community. One reason that I came up with the name The Bookhive in the first place is because I wanted it to be a place where readers and learners can come together. Want to join a book club? Let’s do it. Need K-5 literacy tutoring? I got you. Eventually I’d like to add workshops and pop-ups, as well.
Literary Travel. Bees travel up to 5 miles from the hive, but always come back home. I like to go further than 5 miles, but I’m much bigger than a bee. Catch me and my friends buzzing around the world visiting literary sites and wandering ALL the bookstores.
I hope you’ll follow along, join in book chats, be inspired to visit a new place, or just find a good read. You’re always welcome in the hive, and even more welcome to leave it so you can cozy up and read.
