Busy upcoming weekend in Kincardine with multiple events planned
This weekend features a cultural celebration, patriotic family fun, environmental stewardship, and a major milestone.
Multiple events are taking place in Kincardine this weekend with something fun for everyone.
On Saturday, Aug. 15, members of the community are invited to take part in a shoreline cleanup at Station Beach from 10 a.m. until noon.

Hosted by the Lake Huron Coastal Centre, most cleanup materials will be provided, such as buckets, grabber sticks, and work gloves. Volunteers can also bring their own supplies and are asked to bring a reusable water container and wear appropriate clothing, particularly closed toe shoes. From 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., all are invited to the Hindu Culture Open House taking place at Victoria Park, located at 310 Durham Market St. N. A celebration of diversity and community unity, the event includes yoga and meditation, interactive exhibits, a parade, and traditional food, music and dancing.
End the day with Canada Day fireworks at the north pier beginning at dusk. The annual display was postponed from its original date due to weather-related safety concerns. Sunday is the day many in the community have been waiting for. After years of fundraising, the Kincardine Lions Club’s All Wheel Parkat the Davidson Centre, 601 Durham St., is officially ready for use. The grand opening celebration begins with a ceremony at 1 p.m.
The event includes skateboard, BMX and scooter demonstrations, prizes, t-shirt giveaways, and barbecue by the Lions Club.
