Connecticut's 27th annual Sales Tax Free Week runs from Sunday, August 16, through Saturday, August 22, 2026.
The price cap per item has increased to $300 (up from $100 in prior years), and eligible clothing, footwear, backpacks, and cleats purchased in-store or online are completely exempt from state sales tax. Effective July 1, 2026, CT is no longer collecting sales taxes on nonelectronic school supplies such as pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks, paper, folders, binders, lunch boxes, and more.
