This month, Project 365 has a show to celebrate a year dedicated to making things, not breaking things. A year ago, Sara Witty challenged us to make something every day, a commitment that, for me, turned into a series of rituals helping me cope with the daily garbage that characterized 2025.
The work is incredibly varied, some artists focusing on what they do best with others venturing far afield of their experience and expertise. To me, the project is a powerful expression of resistance to the silencing and squashing of creativity that accompanies the slide into authoritarianism. Regardless of the bigger meaning, I feel privileged (and intimidated) to be included next to folks who have skills I could only dream of.
The show will open January 16-17 (while my stuff will be there on the 16th, I will likely only be there on the 17th) and will also be open January 22, 23, and 24.
