“Great service, but Free Palestine!” Bigoted Diners Stiff Jewish Server on $245 Bill

A group of antizionist diners praised the service of a Jewish waitress wearing a Star of David necklace at a Florida restaurant, then left her no tip on a $245 bill after writing “Great service, but Free Palestine!” on the receipt.

The server, Sarah Armstrong, said the incident of anti-Jewish bigotry happened after what began as “a simple, happy discussion about traveling” at Origen, a new restaurant in Dunedin, Florida. Armstrong said she mentioned that she had traveled this year, including “volunteering in Israel.”

“I never mentioned anything political, but with my star in view, they immediately made their choice,” Armstrong wrote.
