I’m Kevin Christensen. I run a small digital agency in Denmark called Yardbird, where I help small and medium-sized businesses with WordPress, SEO, hosting, and AI consulting. I also run a few content sites on the side, experiment with self-hosted AI tools on my home server, and play trombone.
This newsletter is where I write about things I’m actually working on.
That means WordPress — builds, plugins, performance, the stuff that actually matters when you’re doing it for clients and not just writing about it. It means AI tools — not the hype, but what’s genuinely useful when you’re a one-person-ish operation trying to get more done. It means web craft in general: hosting decisions, SEO, the small things that add up.
And yes, occasionally trombone. Because I’ve been playing for a long time and it turns out there’s more overlap between music and building things on the web than you’d think.
What you won’t get here: rephrased press releases, AI-generated filler, or takes that exist only to fill a posting schedule.
What you will get: practical observations, things I’ve tested, opinions I’ll actually defend.
