As a novelist, I no longer have much time for short fiction—and I miss it! This is why I took the last two months working on nothing but short fiction. So far, I’ve written two short stories, a novelette, and a novella.
It’s been a good time, especially since I’ve been able to execute an idea that has long intrigued me: what happens in a world where the dead don’t leave us, but linger for as long as our memories sustain them? Two of the new short fiction pieces I wrote are set in this world. I’m thinking this may be the basis for something longer.
I’ll have more announcements to make once these pieces have found publication venues.
