Ali Truwit was a swimmer at Yale, getting ready to graduate. To celebrate, she went somewhere warm and wonderful where you can snorkel every day. She came home an amputee of a shark attack. For a while, she locked herself in her room and gave away all her shorts and dresses. She couldn’t imagine being in public.
But then…well, you’ll see...
Here are my takeaways from our conversation:
1. Don’t work in the dark.
2. Trust the trend, not the spike.
3. Get your coaching chemistry right. You can’t afford to waste cognitive units worrying about your dynamic.
4. Learn how to make a proper to-do list.
5. When the unknowns are loud, latch onto the knowns.
6. Sometimes a leader is the first to follow.
