Ali Truwit was a swimmer at Yale, getting ready to graduate. To celebrate, she went somewhere warm and wonderful where you can snorkel every day. She came home an amputee of a shark attack. For a while, she locked herself in her room and gave away all her shorts and dresses. She couldn’t imagine being in public.

1. Don’t work in the dark.

3. Get your coaching chemistry right. You can’t afford to waste cognitive units worrying about your dynamic.
