Circle time won't stop the rape gangs

Labour claims to be fighting misogyny, yet every major policy decision it makes ensures the opposite. While importing large numbers of men from cultures where women’s subordination is normalised, enforced, and defended, it turns its moral aggression inward and directs it at working-class boys. These boys are told they are the primary threat to women, that their masculinity is toxic, that they are one poor decision away from becoming violent, reactionary sexists. The actual importation of misogyny, through immigration policy entirely disconnected from women’s safety, is treated as impolite to mention, let alone confront. Lads on the boats, then into hotels or houses in residential areas is not taking misogyny serious. There are men about 30-50 at my sons college…. with 16 year old girls. How is that protecting women and girls?

This is not an abstract point. Roughly three quarters of recent adult asylum applicants to the UK are male. In some age brackets, particularly 18–35, the imbalance is far higher. This is the demographic most associated with sexual violence everywhere in the world. To pretend that importing large numbers of young men from societies with the most barbaric attitudes toward women has no bearing on women’s safety is not compassion, it is wilful blindness. And yet no safeguarding framework accompanies this policy, no serious screening for attitudes toward women, no honest assessment of risk, no political will to acknowledge trade-offs. I’ve yet to hear of an immigration visa applicant being asked “do you hate women?” “Do you want to have sex with 9 year olds?” “Why did you leave all of your female relatives back home if it’s so bad?”
