The Virtues of Kings is a standalone in romance terms, but the political plot is strongly tied to the series arc, so if you haven’t read the previous instalments, now is a good time! Start with Another World’s Stars – currently free!
I’ve also finished the first draft of the next book, and it has a title! Introducing Of Kings and Fairies, volume 5 in the Cursed Princes series. This one is a genderswapped enemies-to-lovers Snow White retelling (with the usual extensive twists) featuring a crown prince with the world on his shoulders and a feisty battlewitch who offers to push him off a tower.
And yes, managing admin for two titles with ‘Of Kings’ in them simultaneously was, predictably, a headache. But it looks so good on the cover! I’ll share that with you soon :)
Anyway, Of Kings and Fairies is off to my alpha reader while I noodle away at the outline for the sixth (and final!) book in the saga.
A periodical reminder that I have not forgotten about Ursa and Del of the Whisperers or Gabby, Donovan and Keraun of the Lightless Prophecy!
Book 2 of The Whisperers is still on track for e-book release later this year. The pretty illustrated print version is on my list, but that might be a little while off. As you can imagine, an illustrated edition is LOTS of work, and I have a bit too much going on at present to take that on just yet. Plus I’m kinda hoping the absurd postage situation calms down a little before I get into books that can only be printed in the UK.
Book 4 of Lightless is slated for 2028. The next Lightless event will be the Special Operation edition of Everfire, coming to Kickstarter in the second half of this year.
Speaking of the Whisperers, you’ll find The Secrets We Save and The Rose Ball Rebels (Cursed Princes Vol. 1) among this excellent list of LGBTQIA+ titles all for 99c each! The collection covers many genres, so there’s something for everyone.
