Comparatively speaking the time of MAGA is .. meh. The catastrophic consequences are very much real, but no more so than the norm. It is at this stage however, all the illusions which undergirded causes movements and alliances, have shown to be .. the reality denied. So, until the spirit moves me, have at it.

A discourse about “hierarchies” within this society’s marginalized communities is a pathology, a clear example of the most basic American social norm. Competition. “WE are oppressed too!” “My disability matters too!” .. well, they are a white nationalist administration .. “This isn’t about race! This about ableism!” Content creation cups runneth over… As an “influencer”. The hierarchy in a community marked for extermination, show just how insidious the American addiction actually is.

Asking for coalition partners.. “You blacks think you are the standard bearer for black! You’re not!” The 1924 Immigration Act - the refined sieve to strain the acceptable recruits, whiteness has a hazing ritual. Every story that has arrived on this land has adapted and adopted, an assimilation standard that requires abdication of self. Oddly that abdication demonizes collectivism in favor of, “rugged individualism”, built on the collective acceptance of “white”. Even as they roll with a T-4 SCI .. “Before his injury, he was so active. That’s why she started….”

At 15% and 6%, Black and Latino CEOs/EDs are especially underrepresented at the executive level. They’re also more likely to lead the smallest organizations—as measured by annual expenses—than large ones. The leaders of 44% of nonprofits with expenses under $50,000 are BIPOC, compared with 27% of those with expenses above $25 million.

“Not only are leaders of color underrepresented in the nonprofit sector, but they are also disproportionately confined to the smallest organizations,” said Cathleen Clerkin, Candid’s associate vice president of research. “This suggests that the racial leadership gap is especially large for larger organizations.” - What to know about U.S. nonprofit sector demographics May 16, 2024 By Kyoko Uchida

The dismantling of the social safety net has been a core conservative issue. The launching of “culture wars” as a means to, regain the country. A complicity among those who have seen the rise in “social justice” fights, met with birthing organizations. The transition from activist to pundits, from radical to politician .. the pivot - we must appeal to the “working class voters”. As a (fill in the blank) I believe.. yet, every issue has a willfully ignored root cause. That root cause shows up every single time.. and when it is spotlighted as the barrier - Hierarchy!

Disability does not prevent racism, ableism, classism or, xenophobia. The milestones that mark the progress of the movement.. we cheer and call them “elders”, unfortunately the prior approval for attendant care has been denied. The losses magnified by the desperate efforts to change the “why” and simultaneously, being virulently racist. Demands for acknowledgment of your “rights”, while expressing your “conservative values.” Railing against RFK Jr., and still “backing the blue” .. fissures in the community exist by choice.

“We greatly want a brief word to express the science of improving stock, which is by no means confined to questions of judicious mating, but which, especially in the case of man, takes cognizance of all influences that tend in however remote a degree to give to the more suitable races or strains of blood a better chance of prevailing speedily over the less suitable than they otherwise would have had. The word eugenics would sufficiently express the idea.” - Francis Galton, “Inquiries into Human Fertility and Its Development.”

How do you build a community in the midst of conflict? How can I build with you if you fundamentally oppose my humanity? How can we gain liberation, if you refuse to agree that, I to am entitled to it? The “Disability Community” - a term that is less the two decades old, these questions are core to progress. However, if you can rationalize your racism and prejudices, you are an existential threat to.. The Community.

We can no longer tolerate the illusions of the people who comprise causes movements and alliances, in which there is still space for “competition amongst the oppressed”. Perspectives and opinions are valuable however, the discourse being what it is .. reality denied. So, until the spirit moves me, have at it.
