I’ve had my guest room decorated for Halloween since the beginning of July. It’s the perfect spot to decorate for Halloween, because it’s upstairs and tucked away from the rest of the house…so as to not invite the question, “Isn’t it a little early for Halloween?” And any guests in the room likely know better than to ask that. They don’t want to be tossed on the street. (I kid, I kid!)
It’s also kind of essential to decorate early for content purposes — I’m a HomeGoods partner, and we often promote Halloween early to coincide with products arriving in store. Plus, it takes time to film and edit everything for the months ahead!
Having a little Halloween hideaway really lifts my spirits (pun intended). I’m the kind of person that gets a little sad when the actual holiday nears, because it means it’s almost over. Isn’t that silly? I’m the same with Christmas. I love all the days leading up to it, and get a teeny bit sad on the actual day of. And since I love Halloween and the creativity that comes with it, I try to put my Halloween decor out as early as possible. You know, at least in one room.
100% of my Halloween decor is from HomeGoods — some from this year, most from years prior. I have been slowly collecting pieces over the years, and mix in some DIYs here and there. I’ll share more of those, soon!
