New Clip Art & KAWAII CLUB UPDATES

Welcome back to the Newsletter for Keepin’ It Kawaii Design. I just wanted to preface this by apologizing for my long absence. It’s been a rough few years, and I’m happy to say I’m finally back on track. I won’t bore you with all the details, but I’ve been busy at work behind the scenes the past few months getting to a place where I can confidently say that updates will start coming your way at a regular pace again!

I’m happy to report that I just added 4 new sets to the KAWAII CLUB and I’ll be adding at least 4 new sets each month from this point forward. So we are back!

I’ll sprinkle in the thumbnails for those sets here as I tell you all a bit more about what’s going to happen!

This first month back, I’ve got a couple Back To School sets; it just seemed fitting. First up, some cute little cats. I’ve come to realize cats might be the most popular animal ever, and I need to do more with them. Haha. There are more images in each set than the thumbnail shows. I’ve just redesigned my thumbnails and am trying not to overcrowd them.

KAWAII CLUB

So, for a quick refresher about the KAWAII CLUB for anyone not familiar. That is my clip art membership. Every single clip art set we have ever released or will ever release is available for members, along with some EXCLUSIVE sets that I’ll never post in any of my shops.

We have two payment options for that. Monthly for 5.99, or Yearly for 49.99. There’s a steep discount for annual members as a thank you for supporting us! But I like to offer that monthly option because I know it is helpful to have that lower cost available.

Currently, KAWAII CLUB members get at least a 2-week early access period to all of the clip art releases. For example, all of the sets showcased in this email will not be availalbe in our shops until August 1st or later. It really just depends on when I have time to list them. The CLUB always gets everything first! The club is hosted here on Substack, so you just have to adjust your subscription if you’d like to become a member.

Going forward, the monthly newsletter will showcase SHOP releases along with the CLUB releases. I do have a bit of news on my shop releases as well.

I’m planning to only offer the full bundled clip art sets on Teacher’s Pay Teacher’s in the future. It’s just easier and saves me so much time. So those will be $5 per set as always and will come with the Full Color, Flat Color and Black and White versions. I just can’t justify the time it takes to list them individually when most people buy them bundled anyway.

My Creative Fabrica and Etsy shops will continue to get the Full Color and Black and White listings. The FLAT COLOR option is only available on TPT or in the KAWAII CLUB. I like to add that option for teachers!

For anyone who shops with us on DESIGN BUNDLES, that shop will be going away soon. They are shifting to a membership model and getting rid of individual stores, and as of this writing I have not heard back if my shop will be making the cut, so I’m assuming at this point it likely won’t be. I’ll update you all in the future if that changes.

NEW COLORING STYLE

I thought I’d briefly mention that, along with the work I’ve been putting in over the past few months to get back on track with updates, I have updated my coloring style to help save a bit of time as well. I worked hard to come up with a bit of a hybrid method to what I used to do.

It is very similar, and quite possible that no one will even have noticed a difference. I thought I would mention it anyway, just in case. The main difference is that I am no longer recoloring the line art fully. When I’m adding my highlights, I’m letting it shift the line art colors where it makes sense, otherwise, the line art is staying darker. I’m happy with the compromise and so happy that it’s letting me work a bit faster.

Faster means more releases for you all!

BIBLE STORIES

The last little bit of an update I have for you all is about the Biblical-themed sets. Moving forward, every month will have at least one new Bible set in the releases. These sets are by far the most requested sets I have, but I don’t want to overwhelm the members area with only those.

So I am considering opening up a new much smaller membership and release only biblical-themed sets there. If that is something you’d be interested in, please let me know and I’ll gauge interest and go from there!

And with that, I think I’ve updated you on everything you could want to know about the future of Keepin’ It Kawaii Design. I’m happy to be back, and the newsletter should be coming your way every month as it used to.

If you are a Kawaii Club member, updates will be every two weeks! A couple of new sets with each update. I’m very excited about some of the upcoming releases. And since I’ve been planning things further in advance, I’m going to be getting you holiday releases a couple of months before the holiday even rolls around. This has ALWAYS been my goal, and I never quite managed it before.

I know having those in advance is helpful for your product releases as well.
