This is a contemplative fable. It was written across the season after executive life, when the old map quietly fell away and something more honest began to move underneath. The book did not arrive by force. It arrived the way these things tend to, once the forcing stopped.

A character named Sam walks through inner landscapes where fear, obligation, comparison, desire, and intuition take on voice and form. Each one seems at first like an obstacle. Each one turns out to be something already within Sam, waiting to be met.

I will not try to summarise the book beyond this. Summary flattens what it is actually doing, which sits closer to mirror than to argument. It stays with the patterns that shape a life from beneath: perception, identity, the unseen pressures that decide things before the deciding mind arrives. Early readers have said it named something they had been living without language for. That is the response I trust.
