Simple templating with built-in tools

Sometimes I need just a little templating, and I don’t want to install a tool to get it.

Agents don’t have agency

Can we resolve that the term “agent” implies mere delegation? I had assumed that in the AI domain of 2025 it was meant to imply personal agency, which bothered me. It would be cynical toward our real teammates to describe autoregressive tool use as proactive. It would imply an artificial person and ascribe free will. If people do mean it that way, how about we kindly cool their heels?

Accessibility features prominently came up twice this week. First there were the initial posts of the series I Want to Love Linux. It Doesn’t Love Me Back. Then came Apple’s announcement of new accessibility features, which seems to have become an annual tradition.

I also want to know how these stacks work and how much energy the workloads take. Remember when you knew what your PC was up to because you could hear the disk going?
