Bringing The Loop to a close

Dear Subscribers of The Loop:

I regret to inform you that, after more than two years of publication, we will be bringing The Loop to a close early next year with the April issue.

We are proud of the Downtown-loving community we have developed, with hundreds of direct subscribers to the newsletter and thousands of followers on Instagram and Twitter.

For now, I want to thank you for supporting us and The Loop over these past two years. We had readers in 26 states and nine countries, with an excellent email open rate and a couple thousand (or more) views every month.

I also want to thank my dear friend and business partner Joe Nichols, who believed in The Loop with the same passion and understanding that I did. Not only did I appreciate his assistance, but a great friendship was rekindled and — if you know Joe — you know that he is among the wisest and kindest souls to be found anywhere.

Finally, a thank-you to my sweet and patient wife Karen for giving me the opportunity to pursue this concept in the first place. It was a dream fulfilled to write about Downtown, to connect with like-minded urban enthusiasts, and to share my love for this city.

I’ll see you on the streetcar.
