We are pleased to inform you that the KB Klub's annual magazine publication, MediPhil is now accessible on our website and you can read it here.
This year's edition is themed "Kaizen: Ethos of Heroes" and is packed with inspiring stories and voices redefining what it means to lead, serve, and make a difference as a hero via continuous improvement.
In this edition, we continued our tradition of having two magazine covers for the MEDIcine and PHILanthropy sides. We held an exclusive interview session with Life Kbite Professor Akinsanya Osibogun, former CMD of LUTH and former President of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria on the MEDI side, during which he where he shared the bold ideas he executed for building healthier communities throughout his career in Community Health and leadership in various capacities.
On the PHIL side, we spoke with Life Kbite Professor Azeez Butali, a prominent Oral Pathologist and Geneticist at the University of Iowa, who described his desire for more equitable healthcare and how his life has been formed by purpose and perseverance.
Other prominent figures in the magazine, including Rtd. Major General Abimbola Amusu, the second woman to lead the Nigerian Army Medical Corps, discussed breaking down obstacles via discipline and strength.
Professor Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner of Health also spoke to us about leadership and his career journey. Finally, our newly added Life Kbite spotlight section featured Life Kbite Dr Habeebu Muhammed, Chief Clinical Co-ordinator, NSIA-LUTH Cancer Centre, who shared stories with us about his time at the KB Klub and how it has helped him become the man he is today.
MediPhil ‘24 is a tribute to change makers, people who challenge the status quo and strive for better. At the KB Klub, we seek to consistently improve, and we highlighted the many projects we completed throughout the year in the magazine to demonstrate our commitment to making an impact and improving society.
