How are we feeling this week? Thriving? Surviving? Already mentally in Christmas movie season? No judgment here. Either way, Hallmark gave us plenty to talk about, so let’s jump in.
Y’all, the first poster for Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True is officially out, and it’s pure holiday wish fulfillment. This movie stars the queen of Christmas, Lacey Chabert and fan-favorite, cinnamon roll guy, Travis Van Winkle. AND for all my millennial girlies who grew up watching everyone’s favorite Disney Channel big sister Ren Stevens on tv, Christy Carlson Romano makes her Hallmark debut! And I could not be more excited for this stellar cast!
This is the first Hallmark movie set inside the Disney parks, which already makes it feel like THE Hallmark event of the year.
On top of a stellar cast, I am MOST excited that Ryan Landels is writing and directing. He did two of my recent favorites, Santa Tell Me and Sugarplummed, and he’s genuinely great at capturing that specific kind of holiday whimsy without it feeling over the top. He knows how to make Christmas magic actually land on screen. So pairing him with Hallmark and Disney feels like a really smart choice. If anyone can pull off something that feels both big and heartfelt, it’s Mr. Ryan Landels.

According to the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation, the scholarship winner will receive:
A $7500 scholarship to their educational institution for the 2026 fall semester
Ticket to attend the 51st Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon in NYC
Opportunity for a one hour-long virtual mentorship session with Ashley Williams
The scholarship recipient will be announced at the 50th Annual Gracie Awards Luncheon on June 18, 2025.
This is an incredible opportunity for women in the early stages of their filmmaking careers, offering a powerful way to open doors and bridge the gap between education and real-world opportunity. It will help empower the next generation of female storytellers to build confidence, gain visibility, and take their first major steps into the entertainment industry.

Marybeth Sprows is officially returning to Hallmark Media as Senior Vice President of Original Series, marking a major leadership move as the company continues to strengthen its programming slate. At the same time, Tatiana Erasme has been promoted to Vice President of Casting & Talent Strategy, where she will oversee casting across the network’s growing lineup of films and series.
This comes as part of Hallmark’s broader effort to build out a powerhouse creative team under Head of Programming Michelle Vicary, reinforcing the company’s focus on original content and talent-driven storytelling.
