Round 8 chemo

Heading into round 8 of chemo this week. I'm a little apprehensive as my "bounce back" didn't seem to come as quickly this time. It has been just around 4-5 days to feel "normal" again in the past, yet this time it took slightly longer to get my energy back. I did try to get some good experiences in and was lucky to do so. Saw some good friends, had a day adventure with a lifelong friend, took my…

nature buddies

My parents planted blueberry bushes a while ago and they have been nice to keep. When the berries are ready, black-eyed susan's also appear. Together, I think, they just are the best Hope someone enjoys!

Cancer Sucks. Life doesn't have to.

There is a podcast I enjoy called Cancer Sucks. It's hosted by Jay Williams. He has been sharing his journey with Cancer. It's been refreshing to listen to. He has had many struggles, yet remains positive. One of the main "mantras" he shares is the title of this post, and it has been helpful. I just hope I get the hang of online blogging to make it work! I did two posts…

Stage 4 confirmation was hard to take, yet it didn't really change the care I have been getting. If I caught this sooner, this could be a very different situation. So if anyone is having issues swallowing, or…

4 Cycles In

I started chemo treatments mid-April of 2026. I have my infusion treatment every other week. Starting on Monday of the first week. I visit NYOH, and have anti-Nasua meds, steroids, and the chemo meds provided into me though my port. This process takes around 3 and 1/2 hours. I learned of chemo bags, when looking into what one can do when going though chemo treatment. It's a goodie bag that you can…
