We have come a long way to reach this decade in upholding women and respecting each other, regardless of politics or job titles, or relationships. The battle continues not only for equality in gender recognition but age also. As women age, whether others admit it to themselves or not, respect and credibility diminishes.
But, today I am choosing to write about a list of women who have accomplished great personal growth, shown extraordinary strength in many areas and continue to show that they are willing to keep up their fight to make America stronger. All in the face of ridicule, adversity, and even pure hatred.
This list of women have shown me many things are possible if we retain our resilience, hard work ethics and diplomacy. Whether I agree with everything they say and do is not the point of this essay. It is their steadfast commitment they choose to devote themselves to and have earned the equality status they have attained. Today, on this day, is my list:

Pam Bondi - Washington, D.C.
Lori Chavez-DeRemer - Washington, D.C.
Linda McMahon - Washington, D.C.
Kristi Noem - Washington, D.C.
Brooke Rollins - Washington, D.C.
Tulsi Gabbard - Washington D.C.
I have deliberately not listed their current titles because they don’t matter in reality. What matters is that they are doing important work with tenacity for the country they serve. Their leadership roles are based on principles and shown in their service. Leadership depicts that when you have your calling as a woman, in whatever role chosen, to always remember it is your own choice to pursuit it, in whatever field.
That is equality to me. To be able to stand up as a woman and say this is what I want to do with my life. This brings me happiness. This is what my purpose is and I will fight for it. A woman gives strength to our country in whatever role she chooses. A woman has earned the right to be equal, to receive the same pay scale as their counterparts, to be respected for who and what they have chosen to be. Titles, labels none of that makes a woman equal. Her determination, her abilities, her resolve, her tact, her caring, her work ethics, her nurturing, her intelligence at every level and her back bone, etc. all lead to her natural equality in humanity that she should never had to fight for in the first place!
I am truly glad to say that women have won that battle. More and more women come to light everyday! I am proud to be a woman who has never felt less than any other human being and to celebrate a woman’s equality day is a plus in my book for all who went before me. To those women who were not treated equally in the past, this designated day is for you! Your legacy is remembered and my gratitude will forever remember your struggles that brought us to where we are today. Now perhaps the battle of female ageism can be our next victory!
