So last week on my birthday Rocky, my eldest son and his family gifted me the pictured book. I’ve just read a few pages so far but I’m already touched with many emotions. The women who are fortunate to become grandmas understand this amazing love that envelopes their heart each time they meet one of their grandchildren. It is an unexplainable feeling that is different though not greater than the love they feel as a mom or an aunt. No matter how a day with a grandchild goes whether they speak to you or not the love between each of you is an imaginary ray of sunshine reaching out from heart to heart. A magical bond of silent understanding that makes this world a better place and joy overtakes its troubles. I feel so fortunate for this blessed gift of being a Nonna and my heart will forever be grateful for it.
