While we may be out of the Land of Make Believe, the damage continues.
Do you remember Ian Roberts? This individual was sentenced to prison for making false claims of citizenship, and he lied about almost every aspect of his life to become the superintendent of Des Moines (yes, Iowa) Public Schools. Yet as of today, he remains active on Maryland’s voter registration rolls. Let me say this plainly: The Maryland voter rolls are not valid.
How can we have confidence in our elections when convicted fraudsters stay on the rolls? This is exactly why so many Marylanders are demanding real cleanup of our voter registration system. We cannot allow ineligible individuals to remain in the system while hardworking families worry their votes will be diluted.
After the ballot debacle last month, the U.S. House Administration Committee is now demanding answers from Maryland regarding the state’s massive mail-in ballot fiasco. Re-issuing over 500,000 mail-in ballots seriously undermines public confidence in our elections. Congress is right to investigate.
Maryland’s Lt Governor’s dismissive response to Maryland’s mail-in ballot fiasco is almost as troubling as the mistake itself. Telling voters that “mistakes happen every election” is not an excuse; it is an admission that failure has become acceptable in the Wes Moore Administration.
When hundreds of thousands of ballots must be replaced, citizens have every right to be concerned. Public confidence in elections depends on accuracy, accountability, and transparency.
When state government can’t even manage basic election operations without creating chaos, it’s time for real oversight. Marylanders deserve secure, transparent, and trustworthy elections — not excuses and cover-ups.
Bill signings from the 2026 session have concluded, and Governor Wes Moore chose the last day possible to sign the so-called “Glock ban” into law. This legislation is a direct assault on the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Marylanders. The NRA has already filed suit, and I believe they will prevail.
Law-abiding citizens should not lose their rights while violent criminals face fewer consequences. This is a backward priority from Annapolis, and it’s another example of why we need stronger conservative voices in the House of Delegates.
These issues are connected. Whether it’s dirty voter rolls, unconstitutional gun laws, or election administration failures, the pattern is clear: Maryland’s current leadership puts ideology over safety, competence, and your constitutional rights.
