Kathi C. Laughman · The Possibility Factor

My next Maven workshop is this Thursday, August 27th.

If you have been following along, you know we’ve moved from taking the guesswork out of decisions to using a framework for decisions, and now to what founders and my students have been telling me about why those decisions have become harder.

What used to work is no longer working, and we need to understand why.

Those conversations brought me to where we are now in our conversations around the new challenges of success and Success Drift.

Why Successful Founders Need This Workshop Now

As a recap of what we’ve been talking about:

Every successful business eventually faces its greatest risk. It’s not failure. It’s drift — and it comes from success itself.

Sometimes it’s purpose drift: the gap between why you built this business and what it’s actually doing now. Sometimes it’s growing pains: you succeeded faster than you prepared for, and resources of every kind are stretched thin. And sometimes it’s a shift you never saw coming, because you were too focused on what already worked to look up.

None of this means you did something wrong. It means success created blind spots that failure never would have.

This workshop goes beyond noticing the problem. You’ll learn to read the three signals — what you measure, how you communicate, and how you decide — that tell you whether your business is still doing what it was built to do. You’ll work through real patterns other founders have faced, and leave with specific actions, not just awareness.

Here’s what we will work through together:

We'll start with what is at the heart of it all: purpose. I’ll present my latest tool: The Purpose Star, and we will work through it so you have the foundation you need for everything that follows.

Then we will move into how to recognize which of the three Success Drift patterns may be showing up in your business now, and how to use a set of tools to keep monitoring for them.

From there, we will move into how to use three key areas of focus for today’s founder (Measure, Communicate, Decide) to course-correct and effectively manage new drift.

We'll also identify what you need to do next — including where you may need to grow along with the business.

Who this course is for:

You’re a founder or owner whos achieved real success — and you’re now facing challenges you didn’t expect.

You’ve realized what you built isn’t quite what you set out to create — and you want to close that gap.

You care deeply about the future of your business and your life, and want both to keep growing well, together.

If any of this resonates and is timely for you and your business, this class is for you.
