Today, my first online summit, a 3 month labor of love, wraps up.
You can still hear Day 3 talks for free. What a glorious collaboration and learning experience!! But I’ve been drowning myself in “workahol” much more than is healthy.
I’m tying up loose ends to pivot my focus to mental & physical health, family, friends, and the long-term client relationships that fuel me most.
I’ll be available for whatever Ocean (capital O, 15 year old son) needs from me, which may mean more downtime or more drama. He has a few more weeks of school and then we’ll be hanging around waiting for his exams to be over while he tries to study and instead gets more and more stressed.
It’s best to allow time and space around these transitions, rather than trying to juggle everything and letting all the balls drop in a miserable heap.
If you have a teenager, did you read katie bertie’s article on listening to your kid? If you have a younger kid, I suggest listening to the interview with Ryan Rose Weaver (she/hers).
A kinder future for our kids begins with kindness toward ourselves.
Okay, have a good enough week. ;)
I’d love to know what you most need right now in your parenting…
