ICYMI, I’m pregnant. It’s my fourth pregnancy (omg) but my first time working as a digital creator focused primarily on fashion and personal style. I was more than a little concerned that a changing body and subsequent pregnancy outfits wouldn’t really fit into my “content pillars”. I was so puffy and big by the end of each pregnancy with my three boys that I was certain I’d be anything but inspiring by the third trimester.
But instead I’m delighted to share that I’m here as proof that the outfit formulas I live by truly work. I’ve never been better dressed while expecting. Nor have I felt so upbeat about getting dressed while pregnant. Even in the third trimester, which is really saying something.
The Backstory:
I secretly shot my first outfit guide when I was 11 weeks pregnant and had zero intention of making anything beyond that. But after the successful launch of The Artful Outfit Formula Guide in April, I realized there was an opportunity to leverage my knowledge and creative forces to help women get dressed in the trickiest stage of all: pregnancy.
Pregnancy is one of the most physically and emotionally transformative seasons a woman moves through, and somehow, getting dressed during it still feels strangely under-discussed. Nobody really tells you how much your relationship with your own closet is about to change.
Not to mention, the landscape around getting dressed while pregnant has drastically changed. Now, there’s been a huge cultural shift toward treating pregnancy as part of personal style instead of something to camouflage. Showing the bump, wearing non-maternity pieces, crop tops, sheer fabrics, etc. is not only normal but encouraged. This was something I definitely had not experienced when pregnant during 2015 - 2021 and I was excited by the challenge of making my pregnancy style more in line with the times.
I quickly realized that creating the same format of an outfit guide, with this one focused entirely on getting dressed while pregnant, felt like the perfect opportunity for me to “walk the walk” on applying my outfit formula framework to the trickiest time in a woman’s life to get dressed.
What’s Inside:
Eight formulas, built from my four pregnancies and a decade of real seasons — school pickups, workdays, dinners with friends, travel, and everything in between. Each one gives you a framework to work within, so you’re not starting over every single morning.
The Exact Formulas:
Seasonal Uniforms The Transitional Weather Uniform · The “Damn It’s Hot Out” Uniform · The Cold Weather Uniform
Event & Social The Effortless Dinner Outfit · The Baby Shower Look
Work & Public Life The Polished Workday · The Out-and-About Uniform
Life Moment The Coming Home Outfit
Every formula walks you through where it works, why it works, how to adapt it as your body and the seasons change, and closet-first vs. upgrade options — so you can build from what you already own, or invest in a few new pieces you’ll reach for well past this season.
FAQ:
What format is the guide in? It’s an instant digital download (PDF) you can access right after purchase.
Are sales final? Yes — as a digital product, all sales are final.
What trimester is this guide for? All three. The formulas are built to flex across your whole pregnancy, from the earliest “not ready to share yet” days through the final weeks and the first days home.
Do I need to be dressing a visible bump for this to work? No. These are outfit formulas first, built around comfort and pieces you likely already own — they work whether you’re just starting to show or fully in your third trimester. They also work postpartum, when you still have a body that looks a bit pregnant.
This guide in particular felt very near and dear to me. It’s a personal chapter, with thoughts and advice on how to manage through it. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it.
Style that grows with you, exactly as you are.
xx Kate
P.S. If you're not currently expecting, it would be so appreciated if you could share this with those in your life that are! It would also make a great gift to any new pregnant friends or family members. I find it so hard to congratulate someone on their recent pregnancy beyond flowers and a card. This would totally take that up a notch!
P.S.S. And if you’re not currently expecting and you haven’t bought the Artful Outfit Formula Guide yet, then what are you waiting for!? $45 is way less than any good clothes to buy these days. The guide teaches you how to use the clothes you already own in an easy to execute way.
