So many of you connected with this winter’s Low-Effort Ways to Refill Your Cup, so I thought I’d share my equally simple summer morning routine.
During the summer, my alone time shrinks significantly, but this routine is quick, easy, and works even on the busiest mornings:
I’ve been loyal to Farmacy Beauty ever since my sister-in-law convinced me to make the switch in 2023. Between the two of us, she’s definitely the beauty expert, so I happily follow her recommendations—and she never steers me wrong. This skincare routine has my skin absolutely glowing, and it’s even helped keep my pregnancy hormones from wreaking havoc on my complexion. The products are clean, gentle, and truly some of my favorites.
As an added bonus, I noticed that my go-to brightening products are currently 50% off for the Summer Solstice sale. Needless to say, I’ll be restocking while the sale lasts.
Here’s my low effort skincare routine:
Remove any makeup that’s left on my face with Green Clean.
Cleanse with this super gentle foaming cleanser.
Brightening toner I live by.
Followed by the Brightening serum.
Brush teeth while my toner and serum dry.
De-puff with my face roller. Probably my favorite part of the entire routine.
Apply my deodorant.
Brightening eye cream dotted in half moon.
Add eye patches to the top of the eye cream, let rest for at least 20 minutes. I also interchange some morning with the Summer Friday eye patches.
Take my meds. Right now I’m dealing with pregnancy anemia so I’m taking Vitamin C gummies, iron supplement, baby aspirin and my prenatals. I take my supplements in the morning and my prenatals at night per my OB.
Enjoy my homemade iced matcha latte, take my morning walk, laugh with my kiddos.
Add my moisturizer when I sneak back upstairs to do my makeup before my husband starts his work day.
And because I find shopping for workout clothes to be annoying and cumbersome (I never find it easy to spend money on this category) here are a few of my recent go-to finds for my outdoor walk wardrobe:
My new go to brand for workout wear: Spanx. Their activewear is next level good because it has all the technology to suck you in…it’s unbelievable. I have the leggings, this bra, these shorts, and this dress. I’ve been relying on them more and more for activewear and swimwear because of how flattering it all is.
My go to biker shorts which I’m wearing in the video.
The t-shirt I swear by because it’s long enough to cover the bump and my butt. I’m wearing this tee in navy in the video (my crewneck sweatshirt and hat are from Northern Michigan).
Let this be your sign to protect/carve out five minutes for yourself each morning!
Talk soon!
xx Kate
