I blogged yesterday that I wanted to shout Sunday’s triumphs from the rooftops — and today, Triumphant Tuesday, I get to do it!

Boast #2 Incredible as it sounds, with around 20,000 new books being launched every month, fewer than 2% of books published sell as many as 400 copies in their lifetime. Luck of the Irish sold 479 copies on Launch Day. We are soooo happy to have earned that money for the charity, and our goal is to sell 1000 copies by the end of March, which is when the first month’s money the book earns gets sent to RAICEStexas.org
Meantime, our little anthology is up there in the top 2%, alongside Lee Child, Harlan Coben, Patricia Highsmith, and the other Mystery genre Greats. Of course, they sell tens or hundreds of thousands, but statistically speaking we’re right alongside them!

Which is a splendid example of why Mark Twain said “There are 3 kinds of liar. Liars, damned liars, and statisticians.”
But I’m THRILLED that we broke that barrier! Even if it is just a little Triumph, it’s big to me.

Publishers Weekly have once again chosen a book of mine for their Indie Spotlight feature. I am incredibly excited! When the book trade lodestar chose to Spotlight my debut novel, Death in Paris, I was thrilled beyond measure, but after all, it was a niche choice.
This time, they chose Thanksgiving in Welcome Bay for their Relationships and Romance Spotlight, where the competition pool is every book ever self-published in those two genres. I was immediately contacted by a prominent publicist!
But I am sticking to my guns. No more book marketing. Just sharing with you, my dear readers.
