Before we hop into this week’s labels, I just wanted to give a brief heads up on a bit of damage from yesterday’s tornado-producing storms that hit Tinley Park pretty hard.
FoGDB Ken kindly went out and snapped a few photos for us at Soundgrowler and Flipside Brewing, both of which are having issues due to weather. “Soundgrowler Brewing on 183rd Street suffered damage to its roof,” Ken shared. “The brewery was closed for inspectors to determine the extent of the damage. Several small trees adjoining the front parking lot suffered damage as well.”
Flipside remains closed today also as they await repairs and the gas service to be turned back on. Werk Force also remains closed due to power issues but hopes to open today, while Bubblehouse Brewing shared this video from inside their powerless brewery. Flossmoor Station still has no power inside but they’re making the best of it, out there on the patio grilling burgers, chicken and hot dogs to keep folks fed.

Thankfully nothing seems to be hit as badly as Skeleton Key was back in 2021, but regardless, whenever any of these breweries are able to open their doors again, go grab a few beers from them if you can.

These labels sure are nice to see — and there’s something of an unexpected wrinkle to them as well.
These are the first Alarmist Brewing labels to emerge following last month’s Pollyanna acquisition news … but eagle-eyed readers might notice that these are listed as being brewed and canned in Naperville. “I didn’t think Pollyanna had a Naperville brewery,” you’re probably saying to yourself — and you’d be right. These labels were submitted with the address of Craftsmith Beverage on them, AKA the Noon Whistle facility in Naperville.
If you’re now wondering what Craftsmith Beverage is, Noon Whistle formed this company with Go Brewing a couple of years ago, but we haven’t heard much about it of late. Since incorporating that company, all we can find from them is a NA DIPA label from last November. Either way, anyone working to help bring Alarmist beers back is appreciated.
