Simply come as you are. Relax, work on your craft, and enjoy some good conversation with like-minded friends! I’m sure you’ll be blessed and encouraged. I’m looking forward to see you there!

If you’d like… you can download this month’s coloring cards here. And let’s talk about colored pencils versus art markers. I’d love to hear which you prefer… and why. See you shortly!

Hopefully see you soon!! xoxo

ON A PERSONAL NOTE…

STILL HEALING…

Well… to start with… here I am as of last night… still having to pamper the sprain. But at least I have a nice view, right?

The first week of downtime was a welcome respite. I enjoyed the extra time with the Lord, along with a bit of reading, drawing, and dreaming! But then… week two… day eleven… things took a turn.

My ankle was healing nicely. I could walk with almost no pain, and I was getting antsy. With my ankle brace securely wrapped for support, I slipped out to the studio to fill a few orders. No worries. Decided to stay a little longer… cleaning and organizing… but maybe a bit too long. But it felt so good to be doing something upright and moving again!

That evening, the swelling and pain returned. Apparently, I wasn’t quite ready to resume life as usual.

So… tomorrow (Monday) I’ll head to urgent care for an X-ray just to make sure I haven’t done anything to slow the healing. In the meantime, I’m back to resting, keeping my foot up, and learning—once again—that patience really is a virtue.

Oh my friends… slowing down isn’t easy, is it?

TILLY FINDING REFUGE FROM THE STORM…

And this was Tilly on Saturday night… snuggled up in my lap under the blanket while the monsoon roared outside. She is not a fan of thunderstorms.

It’s been amazing though how, when I pray for her, her body calms, and she peacefully drifts off to sleep. It made me think of us.

When life feels like a thunderstorm… loud and uncertain… what a gift it is for us to find refuge under God’s wings. He is our hiding place… and knowing that He is with us, protecting us in the midst of life’s storms, brings peace to our hearts and allows to rest in Him.

Thank You Lord.

UNTIL NEXT TIME…

As always… thank you for walking together with me on this crazy faith journey and I pray that… even if only in a small way… you are blessed and encouraged as we walk together! Thank you for your prayers, comments, support, and encouragement… they are a gift I do not take for granted.

Love you my friends. Lord bless you and keep you… in His love and always for His glory…

Karla xoxo
