How is everyone doing on there in the wide world. Hopefully the state of everything isn’t weighing you down too much. And if it is, that is an appropriate reaction. But I am here to share a bit of news about my life and my adventures as a small publisher as well as an author. I’ve definitely been keeping busy between the day job, running a business, writing, along with family, relationships, and life in general. But it is all good stuff.

Next up we have a few new projects. On September 23rd, 2025 The Mourning Fields by David Beaumier will release upon the masses. Here are a couple blurbs to entice you:

Also, Scattered #2 is in the works and is scheduled for launch on October 1st, 2025. I’m still making the final decisions for this one, and wow, it is going to be amazing. The only thing set in stone so far is that the great P.L. McMillan will be returning again as the cover artist. You’ll have to stay tuned in to the DFP channels to hear more as stuff and things are announced.
And last but not least, Cairn, Voices from the Cold Book 2 by Clay Vermulm is also in the works. We are aiming for a winter 25/26 release, but the date isn’t set yet.
Even though I spend a ton of time running this press, I still am an author, and as such, I have a few writing projects. The Patreon is definitely keeping me busy in this regard, but I love it. Every week I post a new short story for my patrons on there, and every month there is a new chapter of my novel I am currently calling Project Fungal Punk. For this issue of the Newsletter of DOOM! I wanted to try something new. I wanted to give a shoutout to another book published by another small or indie press. And this time it is Rain Shadows: Dark Tales from Washington State by Clay Vermulm and Tamara Kaye Sellman
I will admit that I am a touch biased on this one. I was hired for an editing pass and formatting for this project, but that does not change the fact that it is an awesome book.
