Danny “Magoo” Chandler’s father was Daniel Craig Chandler, a racing man who competed in enduro and scrambles races, and whose nickname “Big Dan” was given to him by his son. His mother was Linda Chandler.
Danny Chandler had two sisters nicknamed:

These family members lived in the Idle Wheels Trailer Park in Foresthill, California, where Danny grew up surrounded by a racing environment and where both of his sisters also raced motorcycles. Auburn Fairground was 28-miles away.

After being dropped from the Honda team, Chandler went to Europe to compete in the Motocross World Championships. His career ended when he was left paralyzed after a crash at a supercross race in Paris in 1986.
Danny promoted mountain bike races and became involved with D.A.R.E. Chandler was inducted into the American Motorcyclist Association Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 1999. Pickerington Ohio.
Going 4-for-4 victories, undefeated in the Motocross & Trophy des Nations Races.
Winning the United States Carlsbad Grand Prix in 1982.
