Juliette Masch · Juliette Masch Writes

It was a total surprise for me to see the entry of Ron Perlman, actor of character and uniqueness, into Cape Fear. I’ve just watched Episode 7. Perlman plays the brutally psychotic father of Max Cady. Bestial enough, surely beast-like, I had never imagined that the scene in which Ron Perlman and Javier Bardem face each other in manners of psycho dog fight. Nothing disappoints you in this new version of Cape Fear.

Yes, for those following news pieces of the series, Ron Perlman seemed to be widely announced for his entry and role in. Nevertheless I don’t follow external sources to study the series, so Perlman surprised me.

How come?! Cape Fear 2026 casts already stars with magnetic powers, how come, then, the production can draw Perlman in?! That was my first thought after the surprise. I’ve been a fan of the actor since his role in “ la cité des enfants perdus “ (1995) by Jean-Pierre Jeunet & Marc Caro. I don’t though watch his comedies.

So, what kind of his fan am I ? Very selectively I am so, I say.

(Note: I’m still superbly busy as time-sensitive with a grand high degree. Thus, this publication will be akin to a note and I’m now on a small device in my hand rather than PC on. That was so for my very previous post about which I stated as Substac app that was my hurry on mistake to assert for I was on my Substack web page, and yes I know, this is a longish note, as long as the first paragraph above. At any event, it’s early morning and this is the only time spot I can find to post today if not for awhile until next week).

The image is my screenshot from Google image in relevance to The City of Lost Children (la cité des enfants perdus). The release year was 1995.

Ron Perlman has such an ancient worrier like physical traits which make me imagine Ajax, worrier in an Ancient Greek mythology. Among Hollywood stars, Perlman is not necessarily looking like a giant with his height, but the whole physical charisma makes him stand out.

In the city of lost children, he was a monstrously gentil protector of innocents.

In Cape Fear E7, he is a literal monster-father of Max Cady. Perlman is such an intriguing and intriguing actor, with him, there should be more elaborations for and in the story, I’m sure.

Perlman was also “ Don’t Look Up” (2021) with his peak shot scene of machine-gunning at the meteor being straight heading to Earth.

As stated, this is a publication in a form akin to a note, not excluding the content. I though provide some info-sources below. Take a look at excerpts from Google AI mode’s response to my inquiries. The first one is GAIM’s analysis on how come to draw Perlman in . The second screenshot is on Ajax.

Obliquely excerpted as you see. Hero’s tragic and ultimate bravery would turn into the familial origins of psychopathic brutality? Where it’s hidden, the protector of innocents? With the entry of Perelman acting his father, Max Cady also enters deep into his roots. In the meantime, Anna and Tom plot the trap more in socio-conventional manners with their socio-protective instincts.
