Hello, I’m Juliette, a full-time painter, writer, and creative educator. Welcome to Living the Way of the Happy Painter—a heart-centered space where I share essays about art, life, and living with intention. This is my ever-evolving journal of creativity and connection—and I’m so glad you’re here.
Lately, I’ve been thinking a great deal about change.
After many wonderful years in our home and studio on ten acres in Wisconsin’s countryside, Brian and I have decided it’s time for a new chapter.
We’re in the process of selling our home and moving closer to Madison, where we’ll be surrounded by more friends, community, and opportunities to connect in person.
Some changes arrive all at once. Others unfold so slowly, you can taste them on the other side.
This move started with a wild idea two years ago. In the midst of it all, our dreams often felt like they were on pause.
I’ve been learning a lot of lessons around patience.
Every corner of my studio in the country holds a memory. Literally. We refinished the lofted space above the garage ourselves. The giant french doors frame a landscape that has shaped the way I see color, light, and the natural world.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve finished a new collection of work—paintings that feel full of movement, possibility, and new beginnings. They carry that feeling of standing between what has been and what comes next.
They’re some of my favorites I’ve painted, and I’m so happy to finally share them with you.
These are a few paintings now available through Illumine Gallery in Palm Springs, California. I’m so excited to join this fabulous gallery!
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I can’t wait to share what comes next!
PS: I’m also continuing my Gratitude Sale — 50% off my most-loved online classes with lifetime access. (You’ll also find them inside my membership if you prefer monthly or annual access.)
