Many of you already know this, but if you’re new here, I work part time at Long Season Farm, a small vegetable farm in Kerhonkson, NY. I’m the proud Head of Tidying!

Writing the chalkboard signs for the markets every weekend is one of my favorite tasks I do every week. These signs include two price signs and a “suggestion” sign where I put a recipe, ideas for various ways to enjoy a vegetable, or sometimes a list of meal ideas.

If you’re in the Hudson Valley, you can get LSF’s perfect vegetables in Kingston on Saturdays and in Beacon on Sundays — tell them I sent you!! 😉

Harvesting the kales on a recent Friday morning at 5:15a before it was too hot!

Instead of a normal lunch recipe today, I thought it’d be fun to share some of my recent springtime / early summer market chalkboard signs since they’re full of helpful ideas and lots of recipes, too. I’ll try and remember to share more as the summer continues!!

Here you go!

Made those cold peanut noodles for me and Grace the other day! Topped with shredded Napa, cucumber + carrot matchsticks, blanched broccoli, and some leftover cold ground chicken I had cooked with garlic, soy and honey. Hit the spot on a very hot day!!

Come join me this month in Northampton, MA and/or Newburgh, NY!!! Each of the graphics below is linked and all info is also here at 831 Stories.

P.S. If you’ve read the book, do you know that I wrote an epilogue? And there are recipes and merch, too?? AND FAN FICTION???! Head here!!!!
