Today June 29th is the Full Moon of Cancer when the Moon in Capricorn opposes the Sun in Cancer. Each Astrological event this jam-packed year is unusual/unique. As the Full Moon is lighting our sky Mercury is turning retrograde, Mars is moving into Gemini and Chiron moved into Taurus only 10 days ago.
Cancer is our home, our ground, our foundation, our lineage, our sanctuary, our family-our personal world; Capricorn is our place in the world, our contribution to the world, our career or platform to give to the world -how we are seen/recognized in the world. This VERTICAL NORTH/SOUTH AXIS in our lives holds us and our lives in place, in strength and purpose. Ideally our work in the world is a full and conscious expression of who we are and why we incarnated from the lineage, family and place of our birth. This is the MOTHER/FATHER AXIS.
Maturity at every stage of life is the loving support that allows, encourages and celebrates us to feel safe, open and excited to explore life from birth to death. Mother and Father are our reality models for love and achievement - the parents/family we were born to, and our inner Mother and Father continuing to love, support and guide us throughout each stage of life. Our own responsibility, Capricorn, is to fill in or transform our external parents into the archetypal, inner whole that provides the strength of the vertical axis. Then it is possible and natural to stand gracefully in the world through our contributions founded on the inner strength of a loving and loved Self.
Humanity is growing up into our COLLECTIVE ADULTHOOD from which a healthy, humane World can be created.
Mercury is retrograding in Cancer conjunct Jupiter in Cancer and sextile Mars as it leaves Taurus entering Gemini. This Mercury Retrograde is the 2nd one this year returning our attention to the February 26th Mercury Retrograde in Pisces when the Moon was in Cancer. What has unfolded/changed or moved forward since the 1st retrograde of 2026? Mercury’s next and final 2026 retrograde will be in Scorpio bringing us to the third water/feeling sign.
Each of the 3 feeling signs is delivering a message to each of personally and all of us collectively - CANCER, the personal feeling signs, is our inner safety/security/self-care derived from our family of origin, our maturing into our capacity and commitment to nurturing our bodies, our beings, our sensitivity and our caring; SCORPIO, the interpersonal feeling sign, is our desire to connect deeply/intimately with others in meaningful/fulfilling relationships, to recognize and open to the power and healing of trust/surrender to our own other, our shadow, allowing us to trust and receive from others we love; PISCES, the transpersonal feeling sign, is the desire to connect to that which is beyond the personal and interpersonal to sense/feel/receive our own divine soul self-expressed in ourselves and our world through love, prayer, meditation, imagination, music, poetry, religion, vision, spirituality, the beauty of ALL THAT IS.
It is time to see the fractures in ourselves and our world from a thoughtful, sensitive recognition that broken/traumatized children/adolescents can only create a broken/traumatized world which is the world we live in. Endless upset, ego, pain, suffering, fear and drama abound. This Full Moon feel, get to know and up-level the inner Mother loving nurture you need and the inner Father guidance/strength you can follow to fully enter your being.
