He says, “When a sales professional begins to speak, their words immediately shape how the Prospect feels, evaluates, and responds. In most cases, the Prospect decides in the first few sentences whether they want to continue listening. If your tone is self-congratulatory, or if the conversation revolves around your offering with little regard to their personality, pain points, or worldview—you’ve likely lost their attention.

Organisational alignment boffin Lindsay Uittenbogaard says she’s found seven habits that make misalignment remarkably predictable.
”Everyone says they want alignment, but we’ve yet to meet a team that sets out hoping decisions will be revisited, priorities will become muddled, or people will work hard while somehow pulling in different directions. Yet we continue to see exactly these patterns across organizations of every size,” she says.
My friend Tobias Mayer is pulling together a 30-person Open Space unconference to bring together action-oriented therapy and counselling practitioners with various levels of experience. The plan is to share stories and insights, explore new ideas and methods of working, address important social or political change that may affect their client work and navigate the practical realities of sustaining a viable, independent practice.
I’ve been to Tobias’s events before and I can confidently say that it will be interesting and fun.
