My house went on the market on January 23. We were supposed to have an open house today. Then, we changed it to January 31. Then the ice storm hit Atlanta.
The Universe is saying, “Patience, grasshopper!”
We have changed the open house to February 7 between 2:00 and 4:00. Once the ice is gone, I will allow Realtors to show the house to individual buyers.
Many family members and friends have been helping pack my house. I cannot thank them enough for their time and generousity.
I still don’t know where I’m going. I need the money from the sale of the house to move. However, I have four indepedent retirement communities picked out. They all have apartments available that would work for me. They are all lovely with happy staff, happy residents, and excellent amenities. I have options.
In the meantime, it’s burn barrel time: My heart is in Dalton, GA, with the very cold candidates and instructors in Class #68 of the Georgia Smoke Diver program, which starts today.
