A Fool's Errand - New Science Fantasy TTRPG

Hello all,

I come bearing some exciting news! Myself and the Planet Arcana team have been long at work on our custom TTTRPG (tarot tabletop roleplaying game), A Fool’s Errand. We playtested it first on the show and have since been developing it extensively, including many playtests at Breakout Con 2024!

We’re quite pleased to announce that the pre-save page for the Kickstarter is LIVE! We’re funding production and printing of the hardcover A Fool’s Errand book in late 2024.

PRE-SAVE THE KICKSTARTER

In the game, the Major Arcana are gods, the players are Fools on a journey, and the goal is to decide whether the Fools will fulfil or deny their Obligations to these gods.

To play A Fool’s Errand, players each use a full deck of Tarot Cards to build personal play decks. They then draw cards from these decks to resolve encounters, to use their character’s special skills and abilities, and to progress their character’s story.

Which Major Arcana will you satisfy? Which will you enrage? As Player Characters grow increasingly powerful, they will make powerful allies and enemies of the gods, while shaping the very fabric of Planet Arcana.

Further! If you want to hear A Fool’s Errand in action, we’re premiering a 3-part mini series on Planet Arcana showcasing the game. The episodes are fully scored and sound designed (by me!), and we’ll be premiering them on YouTube set to a bespoke visualizer.

Lovely friends at Many Sided Media have just announced their upcoming regency audio drama Bitcherton! They’re crowdfunding the entire season, but the pilot is out and it’s very funny.

Transplanar has been teasing their upcoming in-studio AP of GODKILLER and I have been watching and waiting with great anticipation.

Rom Com Drama Bomb, Elliot Davis’ upcoming storytelling game in which you play leads in a Rom Com and a villain who will literally blow you up if you don’t fall in love, is taking pre-orders for another week-ish (and I did some guest writing on it)!
