Learning to shine ❤️❤️❤️❤️

One beautiful thing I’ve learned recently is that other people are allowed to shine in your presence.

For the longest time, I thought everything had to revolve around me. If things weren’t working out in my favor, I struggled to genuinely celebrate other people. I measured my worth against their wins without even realizing it.

But life has a way of humbling you.

It teaches you that sometimes the very people you’re cheering for today are part of the path that leads you to where you’re meant to be. Their success isn’t standing in your way. Their light isn’t stealing yours.

I’m learning that someone else’s moment doesn’t delay mine.

I’m growing. I’m learning to love myself again, and in the process, I’m learning to love people better too. I’m realizing that I got some things wrong. I made mistakes. I saw life through a lens that wasn’t always healthy. But growth means giving yourself permission to change without carrying shame forever.

Not everything that fell apart was punishment. Some things had to shift so I could become the version of myself I was always meant to be.

And I can feel that shift happening.

So clap for your friends. Celebrate people loudly. Push them forward. Let them have their moment. The sky is big enough for all of us.

One day, they’ll clap for you too.

And even if they don’t, your light was never dependent on their applause.

Be friends with your friends.

Not every room is a competition. Sometimes it’s a reminder that there’s enough room for all of us to shine.
