‘Real-world tactics for combating news fatigue’: ONA is hosting a session where speakers “will address news avoidance in an era of unending content, offering attendees tactics and strategies to make their offerings more friendly and relatable, including creating entire new beats, broadening the scope of alerts and rethinking what makes an audience-first story mix,” according to ONA’s event page.
The session is set for September 2, featuring Angela Pacienza, Executive Editor at The Globe and Mail, and journalism consultant Jennifer Kho.
‘How to develop AI guidelines’: Emily Goligoski wrote for the Columbia Journalism Review about her work “speaking with newsroom leaders and policy experts to think through the rules for journalists — and how to make them work for your organization.”
